Music Ministry
The Music Ministry at New Dover UMC is dedicated to leading the congregation in worship
through music. Our goal is to create an environment where people can connect with God and one
another through a variety of musical styles, including hymns, anthems, offertories, contemporary,
and classical music.
Chancel choir
We welcome singers of all skill levels to participate in worship services and special program throughout the year.
• Choir Rehearsals – Held in the sanctuary after Sunday morning service (with a summer break).
• Sunday Worship Music – The choir typically sings either an anthem or an offertory.
• Special Programs – Seasonal performances, such as our Christmas Cantata and Lent services.
Handbell choir
The Handbell Choir welcomes all ages and skill levels to join in ringing beautiful music during Sunday worship, special festivals, and collaborative events with other churches.
This group rehearses after Sunday morning worship in the Blue Room.
praise musicians
While the Acts of Praise band is no longer active, praise musicians continue to perform contemporary worship music for our Saturday night service.
